Coach Fatih Terim, who signed an agreement with Al-Shabab, one of the Saudi Arabian Pro League teams, met with the team for the first time today. Terim, who flew from Istanbul yesterday to Doha, the capital of Qatar, where the team is camping, met the players and club employees at the Transmitter Stadium. The 71-year-old experienced coach started training after a short speech.
Terim’s assistants Hamza Hamzaoğlu and Levent Şahin, match analyst Metin Çakıroğlu, goalkeeper coach Ozan Özerkan, athletic performance coaches Yasin Küçük, Mert Çetin and Eray Sözen also took part in the training. The training, which started with warm-up exercises and passing exercises, ended with a match played in a narrow field.
The Saudi team, which collected 23 points in the league, which is in its 13th week this season, is in the 6th place.
