At the previous edition of the NK all-round, Conijn was the fastest on the 5000 meters. In the general classification, the Edam native is now third behind Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong and Beune. Conijn was surprised that she was two seconds faster than Beune and the rest in Heerenveen. “The plan was to set a PR this season. I was surprised that so many rode over four minutes.”
