A telephone shop on Breestraat in Beverwijk was robbed by two men on Thursday evening. The couple fled on a scooter. Their description was distributed via Burgernet.

The first reports of the robbery came in around 5:19 p.m. The two allegedly fled on a scooter, which a police spokesperson said was stolen.

In the store you can see that the duo has been running a house, several display cases in the middle of the store and display cabinets against the walls have been smashed and the floor is littered with glass. It is not clear whether there were any injuries or whether anything was stolen. The immediate surroundings of the store are cordoned off with ribbons.

Via Burgernet, the police asked to be on the lookout for two men with a light skin color, both dressed in black. They have a length between 1.70 and 1.80 meters. Anyone who sees them is advised not to approach them themselves but to contact the police.

This is the second time today that the police had to intervene on Breestraat. This afternoon became a pair after a short chase arrested on a stolen scooter.
