Top second division striker

Harry Kane is at the top of the Bundesliga top scorer list. In view of FC Bayern’s already enormous haul of 47 goals this season, his 14 goals are not enough to appear among the players with the highest goal shares for their clubs in the German upper house. Here, four professionals contributed more than 30 percent of their team’s goals. In terms of the major football nations, only one player in the French second division can match the enormous value of second division striker Rayan Philippe at relegation candidate Eintracht Braunschweig.

In the Bundesliga, Omar Marmoush is at the top with the highest goal share with his 13 league goals this season. Measured against the 35 goals that Eintracht Frankfurt have scored since the start of the season, Marmoush has scored 37.1 percent of all goals. Tim Kleindienst scored 36 percent of the team goals for Gladbach (9 out of 25) and the recently injured Jonathan Burkardt was responsible for 35.7 percent of all Mainz Bundesliga goals (10 out of 28). The overall weak goal tally of newly promoted Holstein Kiel (19) pushes Shuto Machino’s (6) share into fourth place with 31.6 percent. Hoffenheim’s Andrej Kramaric is also ahead of top scorer Kane (29.8%), whose six goals this season accounted for 30 percent of TSG’s 20 goals.
Philippe is also top in the European comparison in the 2nd Bundesliga
In the 2nd Bundesliga, Eintracht Braunschweig finished the first half of the season in a disappointing 17th place, although the Lions obviously have one of the best strikers in the league in their ranks. With nine goals, the Frenchman Philippe is currently just below the top five of the top scorers in the lower house, but the striker is unrivaled in terms of his importance at BTSV. Philippe alone scores 56.3 percent of all Braunschweig goals. He scored nine goals himself, only seven goals came from everyone else at Eintracht.
Philippe’s value is unparalleled in the other major football nations in Europe in the top two leagues. Only one second division player from France scored over 50 percent of his team’s goals; Pape Meïssa Ba scored ten of his 18 goals so far at Ligue 2 twelfth Grenoble Foot 38 – making 55.6 percent.
