It is undeniable: the entertainment landscape in the Netherlands has become more boring without Yvonne Coldeweijer. What does the abdicated juice queen do now? “She looks like Anna Nooshin!”
The sudden departure of Yvonne Coldeweijer from the juice world she had created was quite sudden: suddenly we only heard her talking about her house and her baby. And she hasn’t left yet before that hands-over-the-head culture immediately resurfaces; think of the Linda de Mol cutgate.
Luuk’s mantelpiece
Yvonne briefly appeared on RTL Boulevard last night with an off-the-cuff interview in which she and her boyfriend talk about the past year. “If we are talking about riots, then I think that at the end of the year it is also about Yvonne Coldeweijer, who has stopped her juice channel,” says Luuk Ikink in The BLVD Podcast.
Then sarcastically: “I still have a candle lit for that every day on my mantelpiece, because I still miss that every day. You can think what you want about it, but the juice channels have all diminished a bit, of course. She has really created four, five, six, seven, maybe even more big things.”
Greatest player
The juice world has really collapsed, according to Luuk. “If you like that genre of journalism, if it is journalism, then the biggest player left and no one took its place in the end.”
Bridget Maasland jokes: “Wonderful, I can’t wait, 2025.”
Luuk: “What I find so remarkable: we did an interview with her before Christmas and she turned her whole life around.”
Yvonne Nooshin
Yvonne has been poking fun at empty-headed influencers for years, but is also well on her way to becoming one herself, Luuk suggests. “She is now actually someone she constantly commented on on her juice channel, for example Anna Nooshin. She has now become that herself!”
He continues: “I find that so remarkable to see. So apparently she really enjoys taking on that role. I think that’s just who she really is.”
Interior tips
Colleague Eric de Munck thinks that is very special. “I wonder how it happened, because it feels like it happened overnight. She said: ‘I’m quitting juice, here’s your money back’, and in one go she started sharing all kinds of interior design tips and everything had to be beige in your house. How did that suddenly happen… So quickly.”
Bridget: “She has also become a mother. A child in your belly does a lot, but the fact that it became so rigorous… It could have something to do with growing older.”
Vicious
It’s a shame, Eric thinks. He does miss Yvonne with her juice. “I miss it a bit too, that nasty, that nice…”
“Look, I don’t miss that very intense juice that wasn’t right, but that vicious tone and whipping up some things, yes, I did enjoy that.”
