At first glance, the damage to neighbor Anja appears to be minor, despite the enormous hole in the ground near her house. “But it’s terrible. It was completely flooded,” she says. She is unsure about possible damage: “According to the gentleman who was at the door, it is possible that the water has run underground. But of course you can’t see that.”
Due to the burst water pipe, 155 households had to deal with little or no water pressure. Part of the street has been opened up due to the repair work. The road surface will be repaired after Christmas.
