ARD and ZDF will broadcast the handball world championship from January. In the second, there are changes to the moderator and commentator team.
The handball world championship starts on January 14th. Germany is also taking part in the tournament, which takes place in Croatia, Denmark and Norway. The DHB team has to compete against Poland for the first time in the group phase on January 15th. If you don’t want to miss the German national handball team and the World Cup, you just have to tune in to ARD or ZDF. The public broadcasters will broadcast the tournament – there are changes in the ZDF presenter team.
Florian Zschiedrich will moderate the broadcasts for the first time. The 38-year-old takes over the role from Yorck Polus, who is now concentrating on his duties as ZDF sports director. Polus was last in action at the European Championships in January.
There is also a change in the commentary team: Martin Schneider will comment on the live games in the future. He succeeds Christoph Hamm, who retired after many years of service and a successful collaboration with Markus Baur. Sven-Sören Christophersen remains on board as an expert.
At ARD, however, the staff remains unchanged. As usual, Alexander Bommes will moderate the event, while Florian Naß will be the commentator. Former national player Dominik Klein will once again accompany the broadcasts as an expert.
