The fire brigade was too early for Christmas dinner on Monday morning. She responded with six fire engines to a balcony on De Greide in Eindhoven, where a lot of smoke was coming from. However, upon arrival it turned out that the resident was having a barbecue on December 23.
The apartment is located on the eleventh floor of the complex. The firefighters climbed up in full uniform with breathing masks and fire hoses. Police and ambulance had already been informed.
But upon arrival the resident appeared to be unaware of any harm. He had lit the barbecue to smoke a dish: no fire, no injuries, just hunger.
It is not known whether the dish was actually intended for Monday morning or for Christmas dinner.
