With six titles, Bocholt is the record holder of the Super League, formerly the BENE league. Aalsmeer started the match with the number three in its own Sports Hall De Bloemhof as list leader and favorite. The North Hollanders quickly fulfilled their role of favorites by taking a four-point lead in the first half.
Sloppy
This lead was maintained until halfway through the second half, but then the situation came to an end. Bocholt came alongside due to sloppy play by the home team and even briefly led: 28-29. Aalsmeer was able to win the deserved win in the final phase, partly thanks to the excellent goalkeeper Marco Verbeij.
Provincial rival HV Volendam surprisingly lost to Bevo. As a result, Aalsmeer has opened a gap with number two Volendam (4 points) and third Bocholt (5 points).
Aalsmeer won’t be back in action until Saturday, February 8. Then the leader of the Super League will visit the Belgian Visé.
