Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury in a heavyweight title fight in Saudi Arabia.

Usyk successfully defended his WBC, WBA and WBO championship belts, which he took from Fury’s nose in May.

The victory came after a 12 round fight with a unanimous vote of the judges. All judges scored the match 116–112.

The match was even, and neither fighter was hit on the canvas once. The match tipped towards Usyk towards the end, even though Fury started strong.

Fiasco

DAZN’s broadcast of the match was interrupted badly during the match. Fans around the world were enraged and demanded their money back in DAZN’s chat service.

There was also no commentary at all in the match, which many viewers complained about.

What next?

Usyk has hinted that he might return to the lower heavyweight division he previously dominated after the Fury win.

However, the IBF champion of the heavyweight division, Daniel Dubois, is in the lead for a big title fight after knocking out Anthony Joshua in September.

Usyk has a knockout win over Dubois from the fall of 2023, but that didn’t stop the Brit from rushing into the ring after the match. He demands revenge.

– Usyk, I want my revenge. The last time was a robbery, Dubois said in a ringside interview.

The Ukrainian champion appealed to the leading figure of Saudi Arabian boxing Turkey to Alalshikhwhose bottomless pockets could convince Usyk to agree to the match.

– Put me in a fight against Dubois, Usyk urged.

Dubois is scheduled to fight Joseph Parker in February.
