Eva Jinek is a television star who shows very little of herself. We know that her sweetheart has become a stay-at-home dad and that she has two children, but that’s about it. “She farts too.”
For someone who makes a talk show four days a week on the most watched TV channel in the Netherlands, quite little is actually known about Eva Jinek’s private life. The presenter leads a quiet family life in Abcoude, but what else she does is unclear to the masses. She also does not share that with her supporters and fans.
Chocolate cake
It will also be important for Eva to maintain the image of a neutral and professional talk show host. Just like Wilfred Genee likes to maintain the image of a somewhat cold and hard interviewer.
Wilfred can be quite warm in real life, but he prefers not to be in the media. “Eva Jinek did that, didn’t she, once? I was sitting with Eva Jinek and she said: ‘You’re actually just one of those chocolate cakes, a bit hard on the outside, but so warm and soft on the inside.’ “You’re killing me!” I said to her,” he says In The Walkways.
‘She farts’
Merel Ek notes that Wilfred has also damaged Eva’s image. “You also did it the other way around with Eva, when you said: ‘Eva is very neat on TV, but behind the scenes she is vulgar!’”
Wilfred: “Yes, but drink, joke, fart!”
Farting? Wow. Thomas van Groningen: “Is she nice in real life? Eva Jinek?”
Wilfred: “Yes, she is fantastically funny, yes.”
Three o’clock in the morning
Wilfred knows Eva better than most TV viewers. “We once went to PSV-Ajax with John van den Heuvel and Eva, but we didn’t get back until around three o’clock in the morning. Luckily someone else was driving. It was really great fun, it was really fun.”
Thomas: “You might be the talk show duo you dreamed of. Wilfred & Eva.”
Merel: “Yes! That also seems interesting to me.”
‘Don’t think so’
Wilfred himself is a little less enthusiastic about it. “Do you think so? No… I think people find that very scary, don’t they? Will anyone else come?”
Merel: “Would Eva want that?”
Wilfred: “No, I don’t think so.”
Well, that apparently saves Wilfred a gas mask.
