After questioning, the 30-year-old suspect was brought before the Bruges investigating judge on Thursday morning. He decided to arrest him on suspicion of murder. On Friday afternoon, the 34-year-old suspect was also arrested for murder by the investigating judge. The Ostend resident of Chechen origin admitted that he inflicted the fatal stab, but denied that he had the intention to take the victim’s life. RA himself was said to have been shocked when he learned of the death through the media. The exact reason for the fatal stabbing is still unclear.
