Johan Derksen from Grolloo will remain a regular face on the daily SBS6 talk show Today Inside for the next two years. The contracts of Derksen, René van der Gijp and Wilfred Genee have been extended until mid-2027.
The three signed a new contract during the live broadcast tonight. This happened under the supervision of channel director Marco Louwerens, dressed as Sinterklaas, also known as ‘little director’ at the VI table.
The contract of the permanent table gentlemen expired in the summer of 2025. It did not seem certain that the VI men would renew with Talpa. For example, Derksen indicated several times that he was not satisfied with the preparation for the show and was considering quitting.
A few weeks ago, the 75-year-old TV personality walked out of the studio after a stinging comment from Genee. The presenter said during a fragment of the Go Ahead Eagles-PEC Zwolle football match “that this was on Johan’s list.” That same week, however, Derksen took a seat at the table again.
