Until recently, the building on the corner of the Grote Markt and Korte Steenstraat looked quite unkempt. Today it has been restored to its original red color. This happened at the direction of the architectural heritage advisory council. They hope that the new look of the building will inspire and encourage other owners to do the same.

“Every time renovation work is requested around heritage buildings, we will systematically approach the owners about this. It would be very important that those floors would be occupied again. But we have a major problem with access to those upper floors,” explains Nicole Pannier of the Advisory Council. Architectural Heritage Kortrijk.
