Formula 1 driver Sergio Perez is leaving Red Bull. The racing team announced this on Wednesday evening (December 18, 2024). A day later, the Austrians announced that Liam Lawson would take his place. The New Zealander has already made eleven racing appearances with the sister team in the 2023 and 2024 seasons Racing Bulls came.
“Driving for Red Bull was an unforgettable experience and I will always cherish the successes we achieved together”said Perez. The reason for the separation from Perez despite an ongoing contract is the 34-year-old’s ongoing low form.

No surprise
