THE HAGUE – The Christmas holidays start next weekend and the ANWB therefore expects traffic jams on the routes to ski areas. For example, it can already be busy on Friday afternoon in Germany on the roads to the south, especially around Karlsruhe and Munich. In France, winter sports enthusiasts are most likely to encounter traffic jams on the roads east of Lyon on Friday. “The last kilometers to the popular ski resorts in particular take a lot of time,” reports the traffic service. German and French border controls can also cause additional delays.
