Former Liberty CEO Kevin Ziegler will become managing director of Wayers

In the summer, Kevin Ziegler handed over the executive chair at clothing retailer Liberty Damenmoden GmbH to Anja Hecht-Meinhardt. Now he has found a new task.

On Wednesday, the Munich travel company Wayers GmbH announced that Ziegler will take over operational management from January 1, 2025. He succeeds the founding couple Kathrin and Hartmut Hezel, who will “in the future concentrate on strategic tasks and the long-term vision of the company”.

Ziegler brings “many years of experience in the strategic and operational management of companies as well as comprehensive know-how in international markets,” explained Wayers. He also has “a strong direct-to-consumer mindset.” Ziegler’s “background in digitalization and international business development” also provides “a valuable perspective for the future direction of Wayers.”

Kathrin and Hartmut Hezel have high hopes for their designated successor in management. “With Kevin Ziegler we are gaining an experienced leader who shares our vision and opens up new opportunities for growth and innovation,” they said in a statement.
