Eight months ago, Thomas Letsch had to resign from his position in Bochum. Now the 56-year-old has a new job.
Former Bochum Bundesliga coach Thomas Letsch is returning to his former club RB Salzburg. The Austrians announced this. Letsch and VfL Bochum had previously terminated the existing contract.
The 56-year-old was released from the Revierklub eight months ago. Letsch will receive a contract in Salzburg, where he was previously employed from 2012 to 2015, until July 30, 2027. The Austrians are still playing in the Champions League.
“It feels very good to be here again. For me, FC Red Bull Salzburg is a special club with which I have already experienced a lot,” said the new head coach. The former high school teacher worked in Bochum for 19 months. Letsch will be the successor to the dismissed Pepijn Lijnders in Salzburg and will be officially introduced on January 3rd.
