In terms of sport, things are going well at 1. FC Köln. The club is in second place in the 2nd league. However, the club is apparently aiming for a change at the top.

1. FC Köln apparently wants a change at the top. According to the “Kölner Stadtanzeiger”, the club is parting ways with marketing boss Markus Rejek. He is one of three managing directors at the second division club. His working paper would have been valid until the summer of next year.

Rejek has been with Cologne for two years. Before he moved to the club, he was already managing director at Arminia Bielefeld (2017 to 2022) and TSV 1860 Munich (2014 to 2016).

According to the “Kölner Stadtanzeiger” the separation from Rejek could also have something to do with a growth program. The club therefore wants to try to be successful in professional football with this program without an investor. The association’s board may not be satisfied with the progress of the plan.

In terms of sport, things are currently going well for Cologne. They are in second place in the 2nd league and have 28 points. Leader Elversberg also has the same number of points.
