FC Den Bosch continues with Ulrich Landvreugd as head coach. Since the dismissal of David Nascimento in November, the 53-year-old Amsterdam native started working as temporary head coach of the club. He will do this until the end of the season.

“When I was offered the position of head coach, I said yes wholeheartedly,” says Landvreugd in a press release from the Den Bosch club. “During the past interim period, I have become even more enthusiastic about working with this skilled staff and talented group of players on a competitive team and sporting growth.”

He is therefore positive about the future of the number eight of the Kitchen Champion Division. “I am very happy with the confidence the technical management has in me. I feel very strongly that we can grow together as a team, develop players and thus achieve our goals.”

Nascimento resigned
It was remarkable that the Den Bosch club released Nascimento in November. In the last two seasons, the club finished nineteenth twice in the Kitchen Champion Division. This season, under the leadership of the former coach, they had an excellent start to the season.

FC Den Bosch won the first period title and was fifth in the competition at the time of David Nascimento’s dismissal. At that time, Landvreugd was still an assistant coach. According to technical director Bernard Schuiteman, too little attention was paid to the club’s broad development.
