Finland’s national floorball team defeated Norway 6–1 in Friday night’s World Cup quarter-final.
Saturday’s semi-final will be against Latvia.
Leaving Finland was difficult. Norway waved the net in 32 seconds. The lead lasted 12 minutes. Then the taps opened.
Justus Kainulainen struck ahead of Finland with two quick hits, and the lead never got out of hand.
– The opponent made the match difficult. We knew that they have played good games in the opening series with their passive style. It was important to get two goals at the end of the opening set, head coach Esa Jussila your sum.
Finland’s chain compositions were redesigned. The reason was the strain at the end of the week. With their victory, Finland will play three matches in as many days.
Finland advanced to the semifinals without setbacks.
– Let’s look at the composition of the semi-final when we know the game condition. It’s a top situation if we get to choose from a full line-up. Unless there were some surprise injuries. I would think that I would already know them if I had come, Jussila said.
