PARIS – More than a week after the fall of the Barnier cabinet, Emmanuel Macron appointed a new prime minister on Friday; the political veteran François Bayrou. The 73-year-old politician must lead the country out of the political deadlock against the backdrop of a political crisis between the president and parliament.
