Die Fantastischen Vier have been around for 35 years and have taken the albums they have released since then on tour extensively. Reason enough for Smudo, Michi Beck, Thomas D and And.Ypsilon to publish a tour documentary after such a long time. Namely for their current “Long Player Tour”.
The moving image is intended to provide insights into everyday tour life, as well as how the fans show and celebrate. From December 21st, the work titled “Fanta Vier Forever, Baby!?!” will be available in the ARD media library for streaming.
45 minutes of material
The tour documentary aims to get closer to the Fanta Four members. It’s about looking at how the men, who live in different places and lead different lives, work together as a band and endure a long tour together.
Nils Dampz accompanied the hip-hop group for a week during the concert series preparation and some shows. The fact that Fanta Four let the reporter get close to them is also because he has known them for many years and has often interviewed and met them.
The result is a 45-minute documentary that, in addition to newly filmed material, also contains archive material and private recordings of the Fantastischen Vier members. Directed by Jonas Keinert.
