Ariana Grande has actually turned her passion into a career. The “Wicked” lead actress has revealed that she is such a big fan herself that she has watched the Jon M. Chu-directed film quite often.
The 31-year-old admitted to The Hollywood Reporter that she has binged “Wicked” over ten times. “I lost count,” Grande said when asked how many times she had watched the film. “I think I’m at ten,” she added after some thought.
Dreams come true for Ariana Grande
The role of Glinda was probably a dream come true for the actress and singer.
Back in 2011, she shared her crushes on the Broadway musical on X (then still Twitter) after seeing it. She described the part of Glinda as her dream role.
“Wicked” is based on the hit Broadway musical of the same name. The plot revolves around the two witches from the “Wizard of Oz” universe, Glinda and Elphaba. The musical won a Tony Award in 2003 and the film has now been nominated for a total of four Golden Globes.
“Wicked” hits German cinemas on Thursday, December 12th.
