The case has been brought to the Itä-Uusimaa district court on November 5. The matter is scheduled to be discussed at the session in May.

The man played several seasons in the SM league in the 90s and the first decade of the 2000s. The man also played in the NHL and in the Finnish national team.

After his career, the ex-hockey player has worked in coaching positions, but not anymore in recent years.

According to the law, assault can be sentenced to a fine or imprisonment for a maximum of two years.
