Longest solo whale voyage ever recorded: Humpback whale swims 13,000 km from Colombia to Zanzibar

A journey from Belgium to South Africa: such an unprecedented distance of more than 13,000 kilometers was covered by a humpback whale, from the coast of South America to African waters. This is the longest journey ever recorded by an individual whale. The male whale was first sighted in Colombia and again almost a decade later off the coast of Zanzibar in Africa.
