After three victories, Mister Bosi’s boys clearly give in to the young talents
In Caravaggio it is a show signed by Real Madrid. While waiting for the ‘big boys’ to take the field, the Nerazzurri Primavera suffered the toughest defeat of their journey in the Youth League, the second in the League Phase after the 4-1 suffered in Stuttgart: Real Madrid put on a show at the Comunale and led to home a 0-4 which leads to the tie with Atalanta at 12 points, which however becomes overtaking by virtue of a better goal difference (+5 against +2) gained thanks to poker in direct confrontation.
NO day
—
Mister Bosi has to do without Fiogbe from the first minute, together with Riccio one of Atalanta’s drivers up to this point. Right from the start, the team led by former full-back Alvaro Arbeloa held the ball in the game: by dint of pushing the goal came at the end of the first half on a penalty, scored by Aguado with his left foot after a sensational play by the 18-year-old Roberto Martin , the absolute protagonist of the match. In the second half a trio of goals arrived in 10 minutes, with substitute Ortega Conde (already permanently in the ‘C’ team) doing the good and bad weather, scoring a brace and providing the back-heel assist for Fortea’s goal.
SIXTEENTH
—
It was already practically certain after the first three victories in as many outings that Atalanta’s adventure in the Youth League would still continue after the League Phase. However, it is unlikely that the Nerazzurri Primavera will be able to finish in a position among the top 6, avoiding the pitfalls of the “champions path”. Not impossible, but he should hope for a simultaneous non-victory for Stuttgart against Young Boys and a draw between Juventus and Manchester City.
