Paolo Zanetti is increasingly distant from the Hellas Verona bench. The defeat at home against Empoli with a four-goal difference seems to have been the last opportunity to change course that the yellow-blue club had granted to the Venetian coach. In pole position to replace him would be Paolo Sammarco, former footballer and current coach of the Hellas Primavera.

Sammarco, during his career, also wore the shirt of his cousins Chievo Verona twice, between 2004 and 2007 and in the 2011-2012 season. He started coaching in 2021 in Serie D with the Venetian team Ambrosiana. Then in 2022 he moved to the youth sector of Hellas Verona, first as coach of the under 18s and a few months later of the Primavera team.
