The N397 near Eersel was closed in both directions on Monday. The cause was a serious accident that happened around ten past three on Monday afternoon. According to a fire brigade spokesperson, a van and a truck were involved.
The fire brigade is ready with four vehicles. Firefighters are working to free one of the occupants from a vehicle.
The N397 is also known as Provincial Road. An air ambulance has also been called in, as have a number of ambulances and the police.
A police spokesperson could not yet say anything about the situation: it is too unclear for that, she says.
