The US cosmetics group Interparfums Inc. will develop and produce the fragrances and beauty products of the fashion label Off-White in the future.
The group announced on Monday that its European subsidiary Interparfums SA had received Off-White’s trademark rights for fragrances and cosmetic products. The group will use the rights commercially as soon as the label’s existing licensing partnership ends on December 31, 2025, according to a statement. Both companies would now “build a long-term relationship to work together on strategies, new product categories and market initiatives.”
Jean Madar, CEO and Chairman of Interparfums, praised the new partnership. “Off-White bridges the worlds of streetwear and luxury, leveraging talent and ingenuity,” he said in a statement. “This is a great opportunity for us given the brand’s unique positioning, not to mention Virgil Abloh’s impressive creative legacy. This label will help us explore new possibilities for fragrances in the luxury segment.”
Off-White was founded by Virgil Abloh in 2012. Shortly before his death in 2021, the designer sold the majority of the fashion company to the French luxury goods group LVMH. At the end of September, Off-White was acquired by the US brand management company Bluestar Alliance.
