Comments about his fiancée’s raw milk consumption made The 1975 frontman Matty Healy emotional.
Matty Healy is once again drawing attention to himself with questionable statements. This time he is threatening fans with doxxing.
Milk as a reason for dispute
The 1975 frontman became abusive via X (formerly Twitter). The basis for the threat were voices criticizing the use of raw milk in a cooking video by his fiancée Gabbriette Bechtel. Matty Healy then wrote: “If I see one more shitty Twitter barista ever say one thing about my Gabi, I will use my mental illnesses to the fullest extent and dox them and trash them.”
Doxing is the publishing of personal data with malicious intent towards a potentially previously anonymous person – for example, sharing a real name or address. The musician has since deleted his post. However, the original video from his fiancée, including dissenting voices in the comments, can still be seen.

Matty Healy’s extensive controversy history
The threat wasn’t the only high-profile tweet Matty Healy shared recently. The musician recently got into a dispute with rapper Azealia Banks. She was critical of Charli XCX’s look. Since Charli “All the women you attack seem to be culturally relevant, attractive, polarizing and nice people. I think this makes you jealous because you’re talented but otherwise a failure. Just rap bro,” Healy wrote. A heated exchange followed.
About Taylor Swift out
Matty Healy’s biggest furore also involved a woman. After he dated pop star Taylor Swift for a few weeks in 2023, examples of problematic behavior on his part flooded the internet. These ranged from statements that a relationship with Swift would “emasculate” him to sexist and racist comments from the musician. The brief romance was also the subject of numerous analyzes of Taylor Swift’s current album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT, which was released in April 2024.
