Jerry Turkulainen25, has won the Golden Helmet award given to the best player of the season.
– It really means a lot to me that this is an award voted for by the players. It was really wonderful to be able to tell loved ones about this news, says the attacker, according to SJRY’s press release.
The Turku resident representing JYP set a new points record in the regular season that ends today. The winger, who reached 54 power points last season, leads the league’s point market with 21+41=62.
The Turku resident collected 404 points in the vote. Second place went to Tapparan Anton Levtchi with 241 points. Third place went to Ilves Eemeli Finland (201).
The voting was carried out in such a way that league players could vote for the three best players. You got 5 points for first place, 3 points for second place and 1 point for third place. You could not vote for your own team’s players.
The Golden Helmet award has been awarded since the 1986–87 season. At the end of last season, it was kicked by HPK Michael Joly.
