More than 1 million refugees from Ukraine arrived in Poland

More than 1 million refugees have crossed the border near Poland since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Polish customs officials said.

Earlier on Sunday, the United Nations reported that a total of more than 1.5 million people had fled Ukraine in the past ten days. This makes it “the fastest growing refugee crisis since World War II”, according to the organization.
