Anne Mie’s assignment started in 2020. After an intensive competition, she and her architectural firm were selected to design the Olympic village. During the design, Anne Mie had to take various conditions into account, such as the layout of the rooms. “The dimensions of the rooms have already been designed in such a way that you take into account that your bed can be two meters twenty or two meters fifty. Also that two athletes can live in a room and areas are provided where the athletes can relax .”, says Anne Mie.
The ecological aspect also played a major role in the design of the buildings.
