The eyewear manufacturer EssilorLuxottica and the Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana remain loyal to each other in the long term.
On Thursday, both companies announced the extension of their eyewear licensing partnership, which has existed since 2005, until December 31, 2039. The new agreement began on January 1 of this year and has a term of 16 years. EssilorLuxottica will continue to develop, produce and distribute the fashion brand’s eyewear collections in the future.
The early extension of the collaboration, which was originally limited to 2029, and the long term are evidence of the great trust and close collaboration between the two companies, according to a joint statement.
EssilorLuxottica is one of the leading eyewear manufacturers in the world. The corporate group includes the brands Ray-Ban, Oakley, Persol and Oliver Peoples as well as various international specialist retail chains. The group is also a licensing partner of well-known fashion brands such as Giorgio Armani, Brunello Cucinelli, Burberry, Chanel, Coach, Michael Kors, Prada, Ralph Lauren and Versace.
