In the interim update of the Greek Super League 1, the big winner is Giannis Konstantelias (21). The attacking midfielder from PAOK Thessaloniki increased by a whopping 2 million euros to 12 million euros, moving him into second place in the ranking of the most valuable professionals in Greece’s upper house of football. Konstantelias is currently in his second full professional season with seven goals and three assists in 25 games and was most recently linked to RB Leipzig (rumor).
Another topic in the Bundesliga in the last winter transfer window was Panathinaikos’ center forward Fotis Ioannidis (24), who was traded to both Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart. For the Greek international, who is high on both the goalscorer and scorer lists with ten goals and five assists, the figure is up from one million to 10 million euros. The increase for PAOK’s young star Konstantinos Koulierakis (20; to 6 million euros), who the SGE is also said to have tried to acquire in January, is 1.5 million euros. Although the league leaders rejected an offer for the central defender at the time, the Hessians are said to want to try again in the summer.
The market value curve points in the opposite direction most clearly for four players, each of whom is devalued by 2 million euros. These are David Carmo (24), Anastasios Bakasetas (30; on 7 million euros), Jonny Otto (30; on 6 million euros) and Lucas Chaves (28; on 1.8 million euros). Particularly noteworthy here is Carmo, who was the most valuable professional in the league before the update with 14 million euros and, as a result of his loan move from FC Porto to Olympiakos Piraeus in the winter, is now losing his standing through a transfer to a weaker league.
New at the top is a duo with Levi García (26), who increased his market value by one million euros to 13 million euros, and Wolverhampton loanee Daniel Podence (28; unchanged).

Bochum loanee Jordi Osei-Tutu (25), who moved to PAS Giannina, and Dimitrios Limnios (25), who was permanently transferred from 1. FC Köln to Panathinaikos, joined from Germany in January. While the ex-Cologne native’s valuation remains unchanged, Osei-Tutu falls slightly by 100,000 euros to 700,000 euros.
This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
