No coaching discussion at Borussia Mönchengladbach: sports director Roland Virkus has coach Adi Hütter backed and made the professionals of the foals responsible.
There is no emergency plan for the coaching position, Virkus said in the “Aktuelles Sportstudio”: “First and foremost, the boys have to take a look at themselves. It’s always easy to question the coach.”
After the sobering appearance at rival VfB Stuttgart (2: 3), Gladbach is only five points ahead of the penultimate table. They have only won one game in the last eight competitive games.
Hütter also sharply criticized the duel behavior in Stuttgart and here above all “the experienced players”, without naming names. “Every game is now a final for us,” said the Austrian about the final sprint in the league.
“We let ourselves be shown,” confessed goalkeeper Yann Sommer, who was one of the few professionals to have achieved normal form, “you can’t win Bundesliga games like that.” Christoph Kramer sees “1000 construction sites” and admitted: “It’s really difficult to stay positive.”
