The first European branch of the London-based record store chain will soon be opening in the capital.
Rough Trade has long been one of the most famous British music labels and of course a record store with a cult following. In addition to an online shop that has been online since October 2023, there will now also be a first location in Europe, as the company announced at the Reeperbahn Festival last year.
In Berlin-Neukölln, a 270 square meter store will open on Karl-Marx-Straße before midsummer. In the immediate vicinity there will be a club as well as a food court and a roof terrace that will invite you to linger.
The official opening ceremony will take place on April 20th at the Kreuzwerk in Berlin as an opening rave. Digitalism, Monolink, Kasper Bjørke, Local Suicide and Discovery Zone will play music. Daniel Miller, founder of Mute Records, will be there as a special guest. Tickets are available HERE.
Rough Trade Europe also organizes a gossip concert. On March 21st, the band will play an exclusive album release show at the sold-out Berlin Lido.
