French fashion house Louis Vuitton opens its new store concept in Bangkok.
‘LV The Place Bangkok’ is the name of the new, two-story Louis Vuitton World in the Thai capital. The retail complex combines a store, café, restaurant and exhibition under one roof and “invites visitors to discover the diversity of imagination and creations of the LV universe,” according to the announcement about the new opening on Wednesday.
The facade of the corner house is decorated with huge diamond shapes. Retail, gastronomy and culture come together inside. Visitors can immerse themselves in an exhibition on the ground floor that deals with the history and designs of the fashion house. The exhibition rooms are divided into different thematic focuses and show the brand’s historical and modern designs. The ‘Iconic Bags’ room is dedicated to Louis Vuitton’s iconic bag models and shows their interpretations by the fashion house’s various artistic directors.
Culinary experience
There is also ‘Le Café Louis Vuitton’ on the ground floor. The interior design of the café combines the flair of the Southeast Asian city with the design elements of the house and so tons of plants and botanical elements in the form of materials such as wood and raffia meet a parquet floor with a Louis Vuitton monogram and elegantly curved furniture.
And because twice is better, there is a second gastronomic highlight on the upper floor: the first ‘Gaggan at Louis Vuitton’ in Southeast Asia. Indian chef Gaggan Anand’s fine-dining restaurant offers customers seasonal lunch and dinner.
Exclusively in Bangkok
The upper floor also houses the Louis Vuitton store, which offers “an impressive and modern shopping experience,” according to the statement. The fashion house’s women’s and men’s collections are presented in a mix of vintage furniture, artwork and marble tables.
To mark the reopening, the label is launching the ‘Alma Nano Rainbow’ handbag in five colors, a women’s shirt from the Cruise collection in four colors and an upcycled sneaker for men – all exclusive new items that are only available in Bangkok.
