Ex-professional about to return?
With 425 active games for FC Bayern, Franck Ribéry is the Frenchman with the most appearances in Munich’s history. The former crowd favorite left the German record champions for Italy in 2019 and his career ended in 2022. However, his contact with Bayern never ended and could become even more intense in the near future. Because according to the “KickerThe 40-year-old can imagine a return in the near future.
He is therefore toying with a coaching position on campus. Ribéry, currently a technical coach at US Salernitana, where he also ended his professional career, is currently completing the coaching course. The former winger has an insight into Munich’s youth work through his son Seif, who plays in the U13.
Ribéry celebrated his greatest successes for FC Bayern, who brought him from Olympique Marseille in 2007 for a fee of 30 million euros. This was followed by nine championships, six triumphs in the DFB Cup and winning the Champions League in 2013, when he was at the peak of his career. The title of world footballer, as quite a few people said, wrongly passed Ribéry by. In total, he was active as a professional for nine clubs over 22 years and reached his highest market value in 2010 with 50 million euros.
