Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine almost two years ago, more than 45,000 fallen Russian soldiers have been identified. This is evident from joint research by the Russian website ‘Mediazona’ and the Russian service of the ‘BBC’. Military losses are kept secret in Russia, as in Ukraine.
