A$AP Rocky has confirmed that his partner Rihanna is still working on their previously teased album R9. The two music greats have been a couple since 2020 and now have two children.
“She’s working on it.”
It wasn’t until mid-February that pictures of the couple began circulating on social media after they celebrated Valentine’s Day in Paris. In a video shot in the French capital, Rocky is seen greeting fans on the street. One asked the rapper if he remembered him, to which the New Yorker replied: ‘Yeah, you always say ‘I love you!’ to RiRi’”. The fan then asked about the status of Rihanna’s LP R9. And as he walked away from the group, A$AP Rocky shouted to the questioner with a smile: “She’s working on it” and received applause from the fans.

The 36-year-old was also spotted leaving the Lendit Studio in Paris with her crew and choreographers. On X, users immediately speculated that the “Rude Boy” singer was filming something special in advance of her next release.

Rihanna fans are waiting in vain for new music
It’s been eight years since Rihanna released her latest album ANTI. Since then, the R&B icon has done a lot of things besides release a new work. With her own make-up line Fenty Beauty and the lingerie brand Savage x Fenty, the singer primarily focuses on diversity. Her company offers over 40 shades and clothing in sizes XS to 3XL. This has paid off – most of her products are sold out immediately and this work now accounts for the majority of her fortune, as “Business Insider” reports.
In 2022, the 36-year-old became a mother for the first time with RZA Athelston and gave birth to her second son, Riot Rose, in 2023.

Last year, Entertainment Tonight reported that Rihanna had signed a deal with Live Nation and was rumored to be embarking on a world tour this year. The singer told the magazine that she would be touring after the album’s release: “I feel like I want to tour when there’s new music. We already know what it’s going to be with the songs I played on my last tour.” She then added that it’s only fair that her fans “get what they’ve been waiting for, which is new music.”
