Robert Lewandowski led FC Barcelona to an away win. The former Munich player scored twice in the defending champions’ happy 2-1 (1-0) win at Celta Vigo.
This meant that Barca reduced the gap to arch-rivals Real Madrid to seven points. The league leaders only visit Rayo Vallecano on Sunday and can pull away again.
Lewandowski (45th) gave the guests the lead, but Iago Aspas (47th) equalized. National goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen had no chance with the deflected shot. National team captain Ilkay Gündogan only came on in the 58th minute and experienced a thrilling stoppage time. Lewandowski converted a penalty kick (90th + 7) in the second attempt to win.
