First shooting
Strelow comes in fourth to shoot, with Norway and Sweden in front. Strelow starts quickly and hits everything – but stumbles twice when getting up. Johannes Thingnes Bø has to reload once. The favorites got through with a maximum of one spare, so the field is still together at the top.

First falls
In the hustle and bustle there are a few minor falls, Team Canada loses a magazine and therefore many seconds. Everything is together at the front, but Johannes Thingnes Bø is pushing hard as usual.

The starting signal has been given!
It’s starting! 28 teams are heading to the first round. Greece and Australia are among those taking part – the goal for these two teams is not to be lapped. The men go first, the women will complete the final lap at the end of the race and therefore have to run 1.5 kilometers more than their male partners.

Eyes on Italy and Sweden
Italy with world champion Lisa Vittozzi and partner Tommaso Giacomel must definitely be counted among the favorites. Normally the Swedes also belong to this group, but neither the women nor the men have been able to convince at this World Cup so far. Hanna Öberg and Sebastian Samuelsson are about to try their luck together.

Switzerland relies on Häcki-Groß and Hartweg
Lena Häcki-Groß and Niklas Hartweg should do it for Switzerland. The 23-year-old Hartweg only made one mistake in yesterday’s individual and narrowly missed out on the top ten with a great eleventh place. Lena Häcki-Groß made too many mistakes in the individual with three missed shots – so it remains to be seen whether things will go better for her today and where the duo will end up in the end.

Will Austria pull off a surprise?
For both veteran Simon Eder and Lisa Theresa Hauser, the season and the World Cup are not really underway yet. In the single mixed relay, however, the two are a dream team and can often be at their best in this discipline – as was the case recently in Antholz. For a top ranking, everything has to be right at the shooting range, because the duo can’t keep up with the leaders on the cross-country ski trail.
5:40 p.m
The German duo
Team Germany sends the winners from Antholz into the race: Vanessa Voigt and Justus Strelow want to flourish just as magnificently today and reward themselves with a medal. While Justus Strelow has only been used in the mixed relay at this World Championships and was one of the bright spots there, Vanessa Voigt experienced ups and downs – but in the individual on Tuesday the knot burst with fifth place and a 100 percent hit rate. The foundation stone must also be laid today at the shooting range, and the shooting time will also play an important role – because it was still far too long for Vanessa Voigt in the individual.
5:36 p.m
The circle of title contenders is large
In contrast to the mixed relay, in the single mixed relay the nations “only” need one good woman and one good man – that’s why many teams can compete for the medals and it is difficult to determine favorites. The otherwise strong Norwegian team continues to triumph among the men at will, but the women around star Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold are all weak. The French, who should actually be the top favorites based on their previous performances at the World Cup, are surprising with their line-up: Neither the successful Julia Simon nor Eric Perrot got a place, instead Lou Jeanmonnot and Quentin Fillon Maillet are running for France.
5:30 p.m
Tension increases
The Biathlon World Championships in Nove Mesto are approaching the final weekend – but another highlight is already on the program today with the single mixed relay. The title fights in the still relatively new discipline start at 6 p.m.
Welcome!
