At least one dead in new Russian attack on Ukrainian cities: images show Kiev residents taking shelter in metro station | War Ukraine and Russia

Russia bombarded several places in Ukraine with missiles last night. The local authorities report this. Explosions were heard in the capital Kiev and in Lviv, about 70 kilometers from the Polish border. At least one person was killed in the attack.

Authorities have reported rocket raids not only in Lviv, in western Ukraine, but also in the capital Kiev and the southeastern city of Zaporizhia. Explosions were also heard in Dnipro (in the east), Ivano-Frankivsk (in the west) and in the central city of Myrhorod. At least one resident was injured in Zaporizhia.

At least one person has been killed after a rocket struck an apartment building in Chuhuyiv, in the northeastern Kharkiv region. Mayor Halyna Manaieva reports this.

Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kiev, calls on all residents to take shelter. Air raid sirens are sounding in almost the entire country, Reuters news agency reports.



Russian oil depot attacked

In the Kursk region, in western Russia, a Ukrainian drone attacked an oil depot last night, causing a fire. The governor of the region, Roman Starovoit, said this on the messaging platform Telegram. According to Starovoit, there are no deaths or injuries.
