Innovations in denim
Spanish sustainable clothing finishing specialist Jeanologia introduced its latest dyeing machine ColorBox, “the most sustainable dyeing technology capable of reproducing perfect colors without consuming water or generating waste,” according to the brand.
An improved dosing system ensures the best dilution with minimal use of resources through precise dosing of paint and chemicals. The ColorBox 420 model is currently the only machine on the market that can dye from 50 to 200 kilograms of clothing. Although it is suitable for all types of products, it is specifically designed for delicate garments.
At the Nahar Group of Companies stand, visitors could learn more about Oswal Denims’ sustainable initiatives, such as yarns that are 100 percent organic, fair trade or made from BCI cotton or recycled cotton.
Textile industry experiences “robust growth”
Government initiatives have contributed to the growth of the textile sector in India, including the planned opening of seven mega textile parks in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, and funding of 126 research proposals under the National Technical Textile Mission ( NTTM) for specialty fibers and technical textiles.
Commenting on this growth trajectory, Raj Manek, Managing Director and Board Member of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd said: “The sector is recording robust growth. Along with growing government support and rapid adoption of automation, technologies and innovative machinery, the textile industry is in its transformation phase.”
“At this stage, an event like Gartex Texprocess India plays a crucial role in bringing together the world’s leading players under one roof and giving them an opportunity to understand current and future trends. With its exclusive information events, it enables industry representatives to deal with the roadmap in order to make the industry more lively. We hope this edition will help buyers and sellers expand their network and business and contribute to the growth trajectory of the industry,” Manek added.
Gartex India was launched in 2016 together with Texprocess India, Messe Frankfurt’s international trade fair for textile and flexible materials processing, to support increased production capacity, improved technologies and better automation processes for the textile and clothing sector.
