Zimbabwe plans to abolish the death penalty. The government of the country in southern Africa has approved a proposal for this. The last execution took place in Zimbabwe almost twenty years ago. But those found guilty of aggravated murder could still be sentenced to death. There are currently a dozen convicts on death row.
