For years, Manchester United fans have been hoping that the club giant would return to its former glory.
Trip sir Alex Ferguson is still a long way to the level of a victorious red machine, even though the team has recently taken small baby steps forward.
At least for Sky Sports, United legends comment on football Gary Neville and Roy Keane believe that a turnaround has taken place.
The story continues after the social media update
– Football is better now. Rasmus Højlund has put balls in the net and Alejandro Garnacho has been in good spirits, Neville said.
– The fact that attacking players score goals is a big boost for the team, Keane said.
A couple of hours later, Old Trafford commemorated the victims of the 1958 plane crash, and then both Højlund and Garnacho (twice) scored to sink West Ham.
– It would be positive if United reached fifth and thus the Champions League, Keane emphasized.
Thanks to their win, the team moved up to sixth place, just above West Ham. It is now six points behind fifth-placed Tottenham.
