TO a week from the start of Sanremo 2024here is a practical guide for navigate the voting mechanisms. As always, there are three juries that will decide the winner: Televoting, the Press Room Jury and the Radio Jury (which replaces the Demoscopic Jury). Another important change: at the end of each evening only the top 5 positions will be announced instead of the complete general classification.
Sanremo 2024: how to vote, rankings, juries and televoting
The First Evening (Tuesday 6 February)
It is the evening in which the 30 Big singers perform. Voted exclusively by the Press Room, TV and Web composed by media representatives accredited at the Festival (printed paper, television and web, except web radio) specialized in the sector.
At the end of the vote counting, Amadeus will announce a ranking limited to the top 5 most voted artists. To avoid “making a fool of” for the artists in the lowest positions. This does not mean that the general classification will be abolished, it simply won’t be revealed.
The Second and Third Evenings (Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 February)
All the competing songs will be listened to again, divided into 15 per evening (division established by drawing lots). Voting on both evenings will be the Televoting and the new Radio Jury, made up of national and local radio broadcasters. Another innovation strongly desired by Amadeus.
The Radio Jury replaces the now obsolete (and much criticized) Demoscopic Jury. Which consisted of 300 people, selected among regular music users, by an institute specialized in the survey sector.
Televoting and Radio Jury will have a weight of 50% each in the result of each evening. At the end of the latter, adding the votes of the first evening, Amadeus will communicate the 5 rankings for each evening. The average between the percentages of votes obtained by the artists overall in the three Evenings will then determine a new general classification.
Televoting, the numbers
From homeviewers vote the artists by sending the two-digit code associated with each artist – superimposed and communicated by conductors. As? By SMS or by typing the code on the landline phone keypad.

The Fourth Evening (Friday 9 February)
The highly anticipated Cover evening includes theperformance by all thirty artists with a piece chosen from the songs that are part of the Italian and international repertoire
The singers will be voted by Televoting, by the Press, TV and Web Room Jury and by the Radio Jury. The three voting systems will have the following specific weight: Televoting 34%: Press Room, TV and Web Jury 33%, Radio Jury 33%, and will give rise to a ranking. Amadeus will then announce the top 5 but above all the winner of the evening.
There average between the overall percentages of votes obtained thanks to the covers and that obtained from the previous evenings will determine later a new general classification of the 30 Bigs in the race.
The Final Evening (Saturday 10 February)
We will listen to all 30 songs in the competition. He will only be the one to judge them Televoting but before the start of the performances, the general ranking determined at the end of the previous Fourth Evening will be communicated to the public.
The average between the percentages of votes obtained through Televoting and those obtained in the previous evenings will determine a new general classification which will be communicated to the public.
Subsequently, the 5 songs with the highest position will be played again and previous votes will be reset. We will therefore proceed with a new vote by the public with Televoting (34%), by the Press Room, TV and Web Jury (33%) and by the Radio Jury (33%).
The song with the highest overall vote percentage obtained in this last vote will be proclaimed winner of Sanremo 2024.
