Denso Kasius has to miss two matches of the Alkmaarders after his red card in AZ’s away match against SC Heerenveen. The disciplinary committee upheld the suspension of three matches, one of which was conditional. AZ can still appeal against the ruling.
Kasius committed a foul on Pawel Bochniewicz during the match in Friesland on Sunday, after which he had to leave the field after the intervention of the video referee.
The Alkmaarders did not agree to the settlement proposal from the professional football prosecutor on Monday. The case was therefore dealt with by the disciplinary committee. If AZ accepts the ruling, Kasius will miss both matches against Feyenoord. Both teams will face each other in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Three days later, the quarter-finals of the KNVB Cup are scheduled for De Kuip.
